On the 10th day of May

When George Doherty reported how happy he is that he finally splurged on new, fitted-to-him-and-his-swing golf clubs – and told us how the PING clubs are taking all kinds of strokes off his scorecard – Andy Lockhart reminded us that it is the Indian, not the Arrow, that matters most.

Sean Baylis. Warren Buffet saves Apple’s butt? Well, WB did say he is a big Apple fan, calming skittish stockholders. (And no Gord, big Apple does not mean NY.) (But yes, I know, NY stands for New York.) • Sean still likes being mostly invested. • His son’s hockey team is raising money for Stars Air Ambulance because of its critical role in helping the injured of the Humbolt accident. If you’d like to help out, contact Sean at 403-299-7136 (CELL: 403-835-5167)

Paul Boucher.  This is the link to the article on the son and his mom in the UK who were coping with her increasingly deep dementia, and how they managed to reverse some of the symptoms by changing their diet. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/mums-dementia-bad-kept-hospital-14557468

Secondly, for anyone who has 7 minutes, Don Tapscott, explains Blockchain in this video. He’s the author behind many, many terrific books covering the intersection of technology and our lives including titles like the Digital Economy. His latest is called The Blockchain Revolution. The link to the video is http://dontapscott.com/2018/04/understand-blockchain-7-minutes/#.

Ian Campbell. No comment, he said.  (Does this mean he’s guilty?)

Matt Dart. Matt is now HVAC Sales Manager with Johnson Controls.• His tip: don’t ignore those household projects. They’re almost never as complicated or expensive as you thought. (Unless you leave them too long.)

Don Davis. Smoke & Mirrors? Don wonders what you’d get if you combined a solar farm with a marijuana farm …

Todd Dean. Is getting in shape for cycling season.

George Doherty. Likes the book, Sapiens by Yuval Harari.

Don Doolan.

Gord Forsyth . Some people search for ever-lasting happiness. Others search for life’s deepest meaning. But Gord, he’s searching for a collar. For his table. The one on the deck that goes with the umbrella. At least it will when Gord finds the collar.

Mel Gibson. Moving from one house to another is wearisome. And costly.

Henry Heuver.

David Hicks. I t’s a big job but someone has to do it … so Dave is. His big project is 70 percent done and it looks like the next phase will be starting soon. And Dave’s likely to be doing it. Happy to be busy he is.

Dan Kennelly. It’s biking season and the roads are loaded with hard-to-see pedal heads and motorcyclists. Be on the lookout for them and give them space. A friend of Dan’s was recently cut off by a motorist and is undergoing some pretty serious medical treatments, as a result.

Matt Litke. His sideline – helping align people with an appropriate senior care facility – is catching on. It’s a needed service, it is.

Andy Lockhart. Andy’s grandson dropped an ass-bomb so potent, it literally destroyed one of Andy’s gas-detector sniffers. Begrudgingly, Andy is actually kind of proud of that boy.

J.D. MacDonald. If you’d like to hear JD swear like a trooper, just say “YouTube” in his presence.

Michael McLennan.

Ross Mikkelsen. Shakes his head in disbelief at some of the DIY gas line set-ups he and his people see. That those houses have not yet blown up, is a wonder.

Mike Mikkelson . Fish tales are out; solar panel fields are in: There is a nearby solar panel field that is so big ….

Brad Pachal. Yes, you should do something about those little – but necessary – repairs to your home. Now.

Gerry Parcells.

Dwayne Vinck. Randy (The Better Butcher) is considering roosting with the Birds. (Don Davis raves about the quality of Randy’s products.)

Bob Wiggins . Not talking today.
