Minutes of Birds’ breakfast: May 7, 2015

The Deerfoot did it again: it plugged up and sent we birds into roundabout ways of getting to Inglewood. It wasn’t, as they say, as the bird flies. (And again, I was late so some birds are song-less this a.m.)

MAKING GOOGLE MAKE SENSE: gentlemen: mark June 4th as Google Day at Birds on your calendar. And do attend. It will be an interesting event.

Members:

Brett Bain.  This canny Scott suggests we take a wait and see approach to new government in Alberta. It’s a conservative approach. (Note the small c on conservative, eh.) • On second round, he mentioned the BBB health benefit plans. Sounds like a good option for smos.

Sean Baylis.  The ‘smiling capitalist’ expects some temporary reaction to leftish lean in Alberta and then, business as usual.

Jim Bladon.

Paul Boucher.  Plastic-man! Paul can now accept credit cards (and other virtual monies) without losing his margins. Check out  https://stripe.com/ca

Greg Callander .

Ian Campbell.  Food for thought? Leasing from a married couple can be like, well, playing ping pong. He says one thing; she says another. It’s enough to drive a man to LeVilla for good wine and food. (Yes, Ian gives it four ears.)

Don Davis.

Todd Dean . Respect for CRA or fear of audit (select one or both) drives entrepreneur to use smart App for mileage etc. If interested, ask him which app.

George Doherty.

Don Doolan.  Some savvy computer advice: not all Mac updates are meant to be downloaded. A good reason to coordinate with Brett and crew.

Ken Eades

Tony Fisher.

Gord Forsyth.

Mel Gibson.

Henry Heuver.

David Hicks.  Is he dragging the black cloud of leftist politics across Canada, eh? First he lived in Ontario when it went NDP. Then BC. Then when Dexter socialized the east coast. And now, the Spawn of Grant Notley. (Who and where is next?)

Bill Hoogstratten.

Roger Jarvis.   Original Early Bird

Dan Kennelly.

Randy Kott.

Keith Kozak. I think his tip is: expect good service and you might just get it.

Matt Litke.

Andy Lockhart. Will wonders never Cease? Andy (rightwing and proud of it) muses that the DropIn Centre’s hotel/apartment project may just find provincial government support under this new, socially responsible, NDP government.

J.D. MacDonald.

Michael McLennan.

Ross Mikkelsen.  Shock and awe? So surprised, he shared the story with us! Ross actually found and dealt with an honest and principled customer.

Mike Mikkelson.

Tom Olson.

Gerry Parcells.   Remember: tomorrow is Mother’s Day. • He is off to the high country.

Bruce Roblin .

Bob Wiggins.  Gentlemen: we could use another 3 members. Sooner than later as it is time to print a new Roster.

Chris Wright .

George Roberts.   Words work when written well .
