Christmas Breakfast is on December 18th. You might want to start looking for a $20 gift for the auction/exchange.

Sean Baylis. Sean is smiling. Third Q results are looking reasonably good. Europe is settling down. Earnings are likely to remain positive. Consumers seem content. China, Black Friday et. al. should be ok. So: time for charitable gifting and if you’re of a mind to explore stock/share strategies, Sean has some that are beneficial for donor and donee.
Jim Bladon. “Welcome to Scam Season.” Call display may read CRA or Calgary Police Service – but it may not be them. So as Santa says, You better watch out. • Agriculture sector is hurting some because of weather delays/impacts. • Grey Cup preparations underway at Stampede Park, include a big, heated tent for festivities.• The Banff Craft Beer Festival is upon us and it will be a good time!
Paul Boucher. Netflix couldn’t help but notice: Disney + does it better! Their new streaming service attracted 10 million subscribers in 24 hours. The markets noticed, too, and Disney stock is up. • Not sure if he’s in character or out – but Paul is voicing trailers for Dora the Explorer, The Lion King and more; not to mention e-learning for Suncor, Tech Coal and others.
Ian Campbell:
Matt Dart.
Don Davis. So Don receives this brown-paper wrapped package in the mail. He sets it aside. Pat asks: well, aren’t you going to open it? Don says: look at the return address. It’s Montreal. It could be anything. They finally do open it. And inside is a plaque from Air Canada. Recognizing Don for flying a million miles. • For all the high flying Don has done, it didn’t give much loft to his investment in Canopy. • And finally: did you know there is a special flu shot for seniors? It’ll be available December 1. •
Todd Dean: He was in disguise, today: cool new glasses, beard and big grin. He’s sticking to his guns: he wants clients who want what he (knows he) can do for them; not those who want to tell him what to do and how to do it. • He’s in the process of hiring some additional talent …and then he’s off to Dubai with youngest son. •.

Don Doolan . Bella Concert Hall at MRU is one heck of a venue and worth your attention.
Tony Fisher. There is a fair bit of lying in advertising – and he ain’t talking about laying down on the job. Some large retailers are making huge savings promises as a come on. And people are falling for it. Rona is claiming to be Canadian (when they’re owned by Lowes). Costco savings are often hyped. (We’re all smart enough to know this, eh.) But still …
Gord Forsyth This man tells truths that no one else dares repeat: Alberta needs a sales tax. Gord is quoting Dave Mowat (ex CEO of ATB).
Mel Gibson. Insurance industry continues to be distracted by electric cars, said Mel.• Also, when’s the last time you had a Tetanus Shot? That’s not a rare single malt. Seems we’re to have one every ten years, or lock-jaw may be in our future. Shots are free at Community Health clinics or $75/per at your pharmacy.

Andy Lockhart. Now called ‘Greenview Rise’, the hotel project that Andy and the Drop-In Centre have nurtured for quite some time … is now a reality. There are 79 units, half are for assisted living and half are market priced. And they sold out in 2 weeks. This was in spite of all kinds of naysayers who predicted a dim future. “Persistence in the Face of Ridicule and Animosity” should be the title of this project’s story. • For some other good, local history stories: The Range Men , The Banker and the Blackfoot and Mavericks.
JD. MacDonald. Home Inspections seem to be on the rise (For resale homes).
Michael McLennan. So HP (printers) is being bought by one of the biggies. Watch for HP printers to be back in the market. • In Australia, Konica Minolta is teaming up with MarkForged which augers well for Michael’s allied strategy (for the same two players).
Ross Mikkelsen. I think he said “You people” while describing our city’s apologists for budget woes. His POV of government waste and non-accountability is not at all prejudicial.
Mike Mikkelson. He’s feeling the pinch of the bad year Alberta farmers are experiencing.
Brad Pachal. S top and start projects and others are keeping Brad busy,
Gerry Parcells. He’s talking to telus about a home security system. He’s muttering about the prices of new German cars. And he has JD’s roofing guys looking for a water leak. He’s doing his utmost to keep our economy rolling.
Dwayne Vinck.
Bob Wiggins . He has passed on the Accounting Torch for Birds to Dwayne. Inscribed on the torch is Keeping it Simple and Staying on top of Collections will keep Birds Afloat.
