This was Sept 5th.

O Canada. True North, Strong and Cree. (Thank you A.L.)

Members:

Brett Bain. He is feeling as good as he looks. He has gone from ‘so sore he could hardly move’ to ‘no pain’. (And he did it surgically.)

Sean Baylis.

Jim Bladon. Alberta harvest looking good in Grande Prairie area; suffering from drought in SE and WAS looking good in the South, until hail ruined crops. • You might want to have a ‘clever’ handle on Twitter (yes, be invisible). • The 6 indigenous challenges to the pipeline are going to delay it by another 6 months. At least.

Paul Boucher. The next time you fly Air Canada you might find yourself looking around for Paul. He’s there ( in your ears): he’s now voicing the safety message on the new 787s. • And if you like the idea of using a photo of that which you want to search about, check out Google Lens. And download the Google App onto your phone or tablet.

Ian Campbell:  Is excited that his son in now checked into Dalhousie U (he now has a reason to visit its hallowed halls … and sip good beer at famous pubs). And check out Peggy’s Cove, Blue Rock and watch a high-level volleyball.

Matt Dart . He’s going to Washington, DC. No, not as a Senator or Congressman. He’s going as a Spouse. (His wife has to attend a conference.)

Don Davis. Gentle, compassionate DD is quite firm about this: hitting in hockey should begin at an early stage. This helps prepare players for higher levels.

Todd Dean:

George Doherty.

Don Doolan . Smile. You are on candid camera. You are. Every time you ‘tap’ with your card, there’s a camera taking your photo.

Tony Fisher.

Gord Forsyth . Looking forward to enjoying the races on Saturday the 14th with some other couples.

Mel Gibson. Hmm. TransCanada Hwy to have many shutdowns over the next few years, between Lake Louise and Golden. Alternate route will be via Hwy 93. Pretty but very narrow. • Also, UCP has cancelled the 5% cap on auto insurance.

Henry Heuver. Not happy with all the pandering to the indigenous folks. We are all immigrants, including the Indians: they came from Asia via Russia.

David Hicks. Few sounds are as moving at a celebration of life, as piper piping.

Dan Kennelly.

Matt Litke.  Kids can have a bank account at the RB from birth. Many people assume there is an ‘age’ restriction. Nope.

Andy Lockhart . Farmers can take their equipment on public roads (from field to field). And this time of year, they are working so they’re on the highways every day. And one was recently rear-ended by an idiot passing on the the shoulder.

J.D. MacDonald. Has been on a number of emergency calls. Likes the RESP.

Michael McLennan.

Ross Mikkelsen. Even the smarter state (in the USA) can be pretty silly. For instance, Berkley (California) has banned natural gas from new buildings starting in 2020. Menlo Park, California, is now following in its footsteps. The Menlo Park city council decided to ban natural gas in all new commercial, industrial, and high rise apartment buildings within the same timeline (starting in January 2020). The decision is expected to be officially adopted on September 10. Many other cities in the state are considering a similar ban. (I think Vancouver did this in 2017??)

Mike Mikkelson. Hear, hear! He’s bang on (in my opinion): beyond beef is a questionable edible.

Brad Pachal. Mixing up work with pleasure in the Shuswap.

Gerry Parcells. Remember that line: “OMG, look at all the freaking Indians!” Well, so does Gerry. And he isn’t alone.

Dwayne Vinck. Med-extractor has filed and all is looking good. (Stay tuned.)

Bob Wiggins. You get what you pay for. So. That good deal at Pearl Vision may not be that good. In fact, after hearing Bob’s story, don’t bother.
