Matt suggested we reflect about Randy. (That was a nice idea, Matt.) Birds shared some touching, some amusing and some “never knew that about Randy” memories. And then Henry H summed REK up: “Randy Kott was a great man”. I’ve never heard that said about someone in my circle of peers afore.
Saw many Birds and wives – and some hundreds more people – at Randy’s celebration of life gathering on Saturday. Val and Emily must have felt very proud of Randy.

Jim Bladon. Alberta government smiles upon ATB by extending their borrowing capital account by $1.5B. • Also, ATB’s Report Card for Small Business is very popular with lots of business people .
Paul Boucher. Speaking of which (ATB’s small biz report card), Paul has found it inspiring. • Paul sends the following links to insights on some Apps, about life and about drugs (legal ones) for Birds.
And the ten questions that’ll transform your life piece.
And finally a newsletter/minutes bonus: How Much Longer Will You Live If You Take A Statin: http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2015/10/27/how-much-longer-will-you-live-if-you-take-a-statin/
Greg Callander .
Ian Campbell. If you want to get to see someone quickly at the Calgary Planning Department, go there at 9 am on a Monday. If you want to make a minor change in your business premises on a timely basis, don’t go there at all. Ian is obliged to change his lease from retail use to medical use. Very long procedure it is.
Don Davis. Talked about ‘the joys’ of Spousal Income splitting.
Todd Dean . There’s no end to Google. Todd is exploring yet another new (well, new to Todd) Google remarketing service. There will never be an end of new Google features. Todd keeps up which keeps his clients up, too.
George Doherty.
Don Doolan. The NDP show no sign of cutting back on costs. They have a spending problem.
Ken Eades.
Tony Fisher. Hmm. It seems that now is a busy time for pipeline inspections.
Gord Forsyth. Sobering thought: if the Conservatives (yes, the PC and the WRP) do not get together under a proper leader, Alberta will get a procession of NDP governments. • Much more sobering thought: Heather recently invested in a ‘weed’ opportunity and is already up 37%. (Sean??)
Mel Gibson. Car thefts are doing really well in Alberta. A couple a day, every day, are disappearing. (Don’t anyone tell Heather. Next thing you know, she’ll be up 72%.)
Henry Heuver. He’s not thrilled about government spending habits. And they’ve just begun.
David Hicks. Change the batteries in your smoke and CO2 alarms when you turn the clocks back. • He does amazing work and gets showcase projects. Check out the pix of Gravity Pope’s new store on 17th. http://www.avenuecalgary.com/Shopping-Style/Inside-gravitypopes-New-Store/
Bill Hoogstratten. He can already hear Palm Springs beckoning.
Dan Kennelly. We need a pipeline to tidewater. To not have one is to offer our oil and gas to the US at whatever price they choose to pay. How can something so simple be so complicated? Can you spell: government?
Randy Kott. We miss you, Randy.
Keith Kozak. Windows 10 works like Mac OSs do. (Can I write that without getting punished online, Paul?)
Matt Litke.
Andy Lockhart.
J.D. MacDonald. House keeping: remove leaves from eavestroughs now. Don’t wait for them to flood in the Spring. When doing so, hang Xmas lights while weather is mild.
Michael McLennan.
Mike Mikkelson. Cell tower issue still plaguing the community. • He notes that Teck Coal is shutting their mines down for two weeks at Xmas rather than lay off loyal workers. … smart.
Gerry Parcells. Knee operation soon, he hopes.
Bruce Roblin .
Dwayne Vinck.
Bob Wiggins. Any-Which-Way they’ll getcha! Calgary police have disguised, multi-nova-like cameras mounted on pickups and such … that can catch you speeding from any direction. Don Davis is very impressed with the clarity of the &*@#darn photos. Time for dirty license plates? (If fair is fair, dirty is dirty, eh.)
Chris Wright .
George Roberts. Words work when written well .
