CHEAT SHEET: you’re going to need it! Paul sent this aide to help you sort out the Democrats as they gear up to move Trump aside.

How to pronounce the names of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates
There are currently 21 Democratic candidates running for president in 2020 so far, and many of their names are frequently mispronounced or mangled. Sen. Kamala Harris even once put out a campaign ad centered around how to correctly pronounce her first name. Here’s how 2020 Democratic presidential candidates pronounce their names.

Brett Bain. As Brett prepares to leave the country (for a few weeks) he warns of ‘Ransomware’ getting even more vicious. Time was (i.e. yesterday), you could turn to your back-up if someone stole control of your computer. Now, they’re stealing your back-up first … you have to pay up or go belly up.

Sean Baylis. He sees opportunity ahead — albeit he wishes DT would stop yammering. Trump’s tariff threats at China are likely to hurt the stock market. But hey, there are dividend generating ‘buy & earns’ like: Enbridge, Algonquin Power, Fortis, TCP, Telus, Brookfield Renewable Partners Hydro One and various Canadian banks.

Jim Bladon.

Paul Boucher. The Alberta government is encouraging their child care workers to be aware of the Kids’ Help Phone.

Ian Campbell.

Matt Dart. He’s keeping an eye on Denver/Colorado as they lower and erase penalties for (magic) mushroom use.

Don Davis . He may be suffering from Spring fever: Don wants Henry to take down three spruce trees in his (Don’s) front yard. Plus Don is sprucing up his condo in Victoria by renoing the kitchen. • Last week, Don warned that the Beyond Beef and other plant-based meat products may contain peanuts and other serious allergic substances.

Todd Dean. Todd and family are moving to a new home at the end of the month – so he’s caught up in all the moving things you have to do. • Todd then spoke gobble gook about how SEO (that’s Search Engine Optimization, Gord) is morphing into a whole other ‘thing’. Instead of focussing on keywords, search engines like Google (I think that’s a Walt Disney character) are now focussing on ‘topic clusters’ (a nerdy word for phrases?). This change is happening as I poke my keyboard for these minutes. A driver (one of the causes) for this change is the speech recognition software used by Siri, Google Home and others. Todd also used the term, ‘verbal thought’. I leave that for you to noodle on your own.

George Doherty. Ah, poor George: he left the pharmacy business just a few years too soon. Seems people no longer need Alieve or Tylenol or aspirin. Today, a little gel tab of CBD will do ya. Arthritis is still very much with us but the inflammation and pain is more often than not, delightfully mitigated by cbt

Don Doolan . He didn’t have Dick, he said. (Well, he did.)

Tony Fisher. Wellington’s and Oscar’s are not closing. But they are not doing lunch anymore.

Gord Forsyth. Good news: Gord and Heather’s granddaughter is doing great

Mel Gibson. Just when we finally get comfortable with our resident insurance guru, he tries to sell us on Earthquake insurance. In case you think such coverage is overkill, know that such insurance will pay in the event of a sinkhole. Sinkholes are becoming more common, didn’t you know.

Henry Heuver. Business continues to slowly increase as the weather improves.

David Hicks.

Dan Kennelly. Finding BC a little short of Alberta golfers. It is obviously not attracting as many as years past.

Matt Litke. Matt and his wife were disappointed by the meal they had at Star Belly’s (restuarant) in Seton. Nice digs but food was pretty uninspiring. • And for a good dress shirt, check out the Serica shirts at Thomas Jeffery Men’s Wear..

Andy Lockhart. There are bombs, big bombs and then there’s the Nanton Air Museum bomb that Andy is helping replicate. Called the Grand Slam, it’s huge! • Andy mentions that the Bearspaw Golf Course bankruptcy story is a multi-faceted March of Folly.

J.D. MacDonald. He is finally going to get his shoulder operation. That’ll keep him away from Birds for a few weeks. (Seems JD can’t fly with his arm in a sling.)

Michael McLennan. His lawyer son has finally succeeded in escaping from that madhouse called the UK and is about to practice law in New York. Where Michael plans to visit often, during the Yankee’s season.

Ross Mikkelsen. His tip is: don’t fix your own brakes. His story was amusing. And no, it wasn’t Ross who fixed the brakes. But it was Ross’ fence that paid the price for a mechanically challenged DIY neighbour.

Mike Mikkelson. Mike and family have had a busy spring what with travel and minor accidents. His tips: avoid the Montreal Airport if you can. And if you need auto body work, Contemporary Coachworks is the place for it.

Brad Pachal. He has 50 sheets of drywall to hump into a job site on Monday. And he has some promising work coming up. Life isn’t too bad. Other than the fact that he is off to Regina for the long weekend.

Gerry Parcells. Just celebrated another granddaughter. And is soon expecting the arrival of another grandson. Which will bring his total up to 19 grandkids.

Dwayne Vinck. Last weekend’s walk raised $4 million for the Kids’ Help Line. • He’s kind of optimistic about the Alberta Tax Credit Program that looks like it’ll support the Natural Gas-into-Diesel conversion technology.
