January 24th.
This just in: Bob Wiggins reports that four Birds are still flying on fumes: they have until midnight, January 31 to pay their $562.50dues. After that, draconian measures will include a fine of $56.25
Members:
Brett Bain. As most of us know, Brett’s company works with educators, both practicing and bureaucratic. He and his staff have been impressed by representatives from several indigenous groups. Their technical savvy is impressive, as is their adoption of AI training systems.
Sean Baylis.
Jim Bladon. ATB’s resident ‘brewmaster’ and ‘weed-guru’ is pretty sure that neither industry (craft beer and Cannabis) are close to a cap yet. As the AGLC (over?)stretches to bring online gaming under its mantle, could Jim’s ever-present smile be turning into a Charlie Brown grin? Nah. • ATB’s We lIsten campaign is morphing into Why We Listen.
Paul Boucher. High, he is. Ontario has engaged Paul and his voice to help present their in-depth training programs for Cannabis matters. Sounds like good wholesome work.
Matt Dart. He is following all the big projects (BMO Centre, Kitimat and the Cannabis plant to the south).
Don Davis .
Todd Dean.
George Doherty. As threatening as ‘The Nest’ sounds, George is somewhat taken by the newer, home security systems. Even though some of his acquaintances are discovering their monitoring is no longer monitoring when they’re out of town. Seems this is commonplace with WIFI systems. So, some say, get cellular back-up. Andy Lockhart counters with the suggestion of having a prominent doghouse in your yard. It’s low tech, affordable and has worked for millennia. • Karen is trying some Cannabis for her Crohns.
Don Doolan.
Tony Fisher . The Foothills has pushed its new parking project back another year or so.
Gord Forsyth. He reports that the new parkade at the Foothills will be called The Gong Show III. Or IV. Or higher.
Mel Gibson. So. You like Costco prices, do you? But you hate driving there and walking half a mile to find what you want. So download the App at InaBuggy.com.
Tell them what you want and … expect it at your door within an hour or two. Low delivery fees.
Henry Heuver.
David Hicks. His 11-year-old daughter is back from a month in Guatemala. She went there via a CISB (UNESCO) program. She loved every minute of it. • I wonder if she told them that her father is a tartan-skirt-wearing, haggis-eating, bagpiper? (Try saying that three times after imbibing 3 shots of Scotch.)
Dan Kennelly. He’s just back from a tour of the Kitimat projects. Yes, there are two plants. Two pipelines. And probably more than three large camps for workers; one of which may be a floating ship. The actual plants are manufactured in Asia and then assembled here. • The local indigenous peoples are jockeying for best profit sharing positions.
Matt Litke.
Andy Lockhart. When everything around you is crashing (iPhone, iPad, laptop), talk to MJ at OSI. And do not give in to that PC-Devil promising you lower costs. Stay with Apple. (This is not a paid commercial comment. Even though it sounds like one.)
J.D. MacDonald. He’s weary from all the work in the shop. But he’s not complaining. (It could be, he’s too tired to do so.)
Michael McLennan.
Ross Mikkelsen. Fraud is usually a pretty simple crime to commit. But it is a challenge to explain. Tip: when buying a gift card (VISA, iTunes etc), make darn sure the plastic card is in the cardboard pouch. I’d explain but … just do it, ok. Thanks.
Mike Mikkelson. Is bundling getting out of hand? Telus is now offering Alarm Force security and for the techies, The Nest.
Brad Pachal. Nerves of steel? You need them to hold you back from buying new steel products (i.e. tools). Most steel-containing product prices will increase by 20% (and more) at month end.
Gerry Parcells. He controls The Nest at his place. And it’s not by iPhone, either!
Dwayne Vinck. You might say, our country’s indigenous peoples are reinventing the art of scalping.
Bob Wiggins . What goes around comes around. He remembers phoning-in grocery orders and having them delivered when he was posted in Souris, Manitoba and Dryden, Ontario. Hey, Bob: that was the last Century, by the way.
