Dave Hicks
happened to be driving through Forest Lawn and noted Atco Village as he passed it. On Remembrance Day, it seemed an apt bit of serendipity.
From the Atco web site: "In November 2019 we leveraged our expertise in modular housing to build ATCO Village, a community of 15 tiny homes in Calgary for veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces."
Tips flowed from Dr. Tom Olson
today like other stuff flows from John Horgan's mouth, and they were good.
1) Tom is reader of The Epoch Times, a balanced news source that is less "opinion-based" (quotes mine) than a lot of other sources. Note that when you land on the site the first time it will ask you to pick your edition (US or Canada). However, you can switch back and forth any time you like. The link is
https://www.theepochtimes.com/.
3) Finally, Tom is a subscriber to a couple of UK TV services, one called BritBox. He's a particular fan of a show called Our Girl which is summarized beautifully on this page:
https://www.britbox.com/ca/show/Our_Girl_p0260ych. You can find out more about the service in general, including prices, etc. here:
https://www.britbox.com/ca/. You may also be able to access some of these shows via the CBC GEM service.
From Ross Mikkelsen, a reiteration that the podcast No Compromise, featuring a couple of guys who think the NRA are a bunch of lightweights is "something else" and worth a listen. Ditto for an unexpected new one he discovered called "Bunga Bunga" which documents the rise and fall of Silvio Berlusconi. Surprisingly compelling and available at:
