Here are a few quick highlights from the meeting:
From Don Doolan - a recommendation to enjoy the takeout meal for two from the Hyatt. About $60 per person, but easily enough food for two meals, and he was literally taken aback at the quality, and how well prepared it was.
Along similar lines, Brad Pachal recommended the Curbside Pickup option from the Cattle Baron.
Year-end book recommendations:
Don Doolan: Burke's Law: A Life in Hockey by Brian Burke. This link is to pick up the book from Pages in Kensington (please try to support your local bookstore - many of them now have excellent online ordering systems). Obviously, you can get it from any of the usual online suspects as well. https://www.pageskensington.com/?q=h.tviewer&using_sb=status&qsb=keyword&qse=rC8Hn_GwKfQXgYuDMWTa8g.
Two from Andy Lockhart: Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings by Ben Shapiro. I couldn't find this at any of the Canadian bookstores I searched, including Indigo, so here's the link to the Canadian Amazon site: https://www.amazon.ca/Facts-Dont-Care-about-Feelings/dp/1949673162/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Ben+Shapiro&qid=1609428879&sr=8-3.
And
Economic Facts and Fallacies by Thomas Sowell, https://www.pageskensington.com/?q=h.tviewer&using_sb=status&qsb=keyword&qse=dRd52YVrme8sFQyixdw_FA.
Finally, via Paul Boucher, Calling Bullshit by Carl Bergstrom and Jevin West: https://www.pageskensington.com/?q=h.tviewer&using_sb=status&qsb=keyword&qse=dRd52YVrme8sFQyixdw_FA.
Finally, a lovely share from Tom Olson: https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/travel/this-jaw-dropping-frozen-lake-in-bc-has-the-longest-skating-pathway-in-the-world-1941870?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=VIA_facebook&fbclid=IwAR0Jg7jPCjdEfFBcXQMSxXZeEnPTRu1m2bhVcOA-NEdzYa55UySYTL2cYJo
