The end of Freezing Feb

Who’d have thought that we Birds would praise Jody Wilson-Raybould, an indigenous female politician/minister with an LLB and, it would appear, bigger balls than many in Ottawa? (Last night, the minister of Fisheries attacked her for her ‘honesty’. Fisheries has been famous for its lies, since the cod off our east coast were forecasted to disappear. They did. Now Fisheries is dancing around the issue of salmon farming on the west coast. Reassuring, eh.) The sharp knives are coming out in Ottawa and Jody better not turn her back on any Liberal ‘pols’ fighting to keep their jobs.

If ever you’re feeling out of sorts, check out the video/song in the email that brought you this update.

Brian Carnduff came for breakfast to reintroduce himself. He’s 40 pounds lighter and in ‘swimmingly’ good shape. He’s coaching/lifeguarding at a number of swim venues around town and enjoying life.

Members:

Brett Bain. About Jody Wilson-Raybould he said: “I finally found a Liberal that I like.” (Imagine the pain of saying this!)

Sean Baylis. We should all sing the chorus to “Market Man” (to the tune of Rocket Man ) as Sean carefully enumerates how markets are recovering and/or having all the signs of an imminent recovery. Time to rebalance your portfolio? Talk to Market Man.

Jim Bladon.

Paul Boucher. Had to mortgage his car while it was parked downtown by the C of C. He’s been voicing projects for Reach Assessment Programs (in the USA). It seems they’re bang on with advice for parents.

Ian Campbell.

Matt Dart. He’s been reading the book Dark Money … and enjoying it.

Don Davis .

Todd Dean.

George Doherty.

Don Doolan. He’s positive – optimistic – about interest rates for the balance of this year and also, for financial support for the real estate market.

Tony Fisher . Going downtown used to be fun. Now, it’s just ridiculous if you want to park.

Gord Forsyth. He had kudos for Brad, Ross, and Tony. • He figures the SNC Lavelin investigation is an inquisition and will not go well for the participants. Kind of a: Everyone who touches a bag of poop smells bad; even the innocent.

Mel Gibson. Shingles! You don’t want them. So get the vaccination against them. Including the booster. $150 is cheap in comparison to the affliction. • Telematics (your car broadcasting your driving habits by iPhone) is saving people $$ on their insurance. Could also cause the opposite, too.

Henry Heuver. Henry is fighting his way back to good health. Took a trip with the family to Mexico.

David Hicks.

Dan Kennelly. Gently amused at the goings on in the engineering world, vis-a-vis SNC Lavelin. • Imagine how much pipe would get laid if SNC was lead on the pipeline projects here in the west.

Matt Litke. TFSA’s: Tax Free Savings Accounts. He can’t say those words enough – TFSA’s: Tax Free Savings Accounts – and shake his head at the number of people who could and should take advantage of them … but are not doing so.

Andy Lockhart. Not that he had any faith in JT to begin with … but that Justin could be so badly blind sighted by the Jody Wilson-Raybould testimony is just another reason to not have any regard for our so-called prime minister.

J.D. MacDonald. JD wants to know why anyone in Calgary would go away …after turning off their electrics and heating. Ah well, it leads to good work for JD and his boys.

Michael McLennan.

Ross Mikkelsen. Um. How bad is the job market in Calgary? Well, he received 500 applications for a cashier’s position he wants to fill.

Mike Mikkelson. He was here but not in a chatty mood.

Brad Pachal. He has engaged this firm to provide gift baskets to his customers and is very impressed at their follow through. See more at https://thegiftdesigners.com/

Gerry Parcells.

Dwayne Vinck. Just be careful about coverting RSPs into TFSAs.
