On October 18th, Councillor Jeromy Farkas of Ward 11 will join us for breakfast. (thank you Mike M; now, please see about inviting Kenny. He has much to talk about.)
Gord is at home and entertaining visitors. (In a manner of speaking.)

Sean Baylis. Markets are exciting. They got a jolt yesterday. Bond rates seem upward bound and tech stocks are in a ‘correcting’ mode. These things are no reason to not see markets as being buying opportunities. Keep an eye on SNC Lavalin. It’s a powerful company and though it has had its fingers slapped for bribing customers in South Africa and elsewhere, it should persevere.
Jim Bladon.
Paul Boucher. Here’s a link to productivity advice: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/320955 • Seems millennials are stubbornly stuck on one-click connections. I’m sure Paul’s correct but … so am I. Millennials are being dismissed as being a target audience or market by firms like ValueGraphics (David Alison). I hear he’s coming to town. If so, will ask if he’d join us for breakfast. His take on markets would be a feast for Paul, Ross, Todd and Andy Lockhart.
Ian Campbell. No matter how bad your hearing is, Ian can help. No, he cannot restore that which was lost. But he can make residual hearing work so much better than you might think. Listen to what’s on the wind: go see Ian.
Matt Dart. He’s enjoying a Podcast titled, The Daily. It takes The Donald and others to task.
Don Davis . He’s still looking for a job. Meanwhile, he’s wondering what the difference is, between fraud and creative accounting. A rose is a thorny plant kind of thing.
Todd Dean. Work. Help parents in Ottawa. Be a husband and parent back in Calgary. Work. Help parents in … (you get the drift).
George Doherty. Pretty nice looking new packaging design for George’s Cream. But I’m staying on the fence: George’s Cream’s bold/simple look from before was deemed a stolid but significant reason for the cream’s success on the shelf. So. We’ll see.
Don Doolan. Not much to say this am but opinionated he is.
Tony Fisher. Humming Pretty Woman and praising Roy Orbison.
Gord Forsyth.
Mel Gibson. Tipless but expects next few weeks to be interesting as Mary Jane (weed, pot, gangha, rope, hemp) starts smoking. Remember when the worst thing about pot was the rap? Well, now the ‘rap’ continues in a different way. It’s called yack, yack, yack, yack, yack.
Henry Heuver. Henry moved a huge, 80-year-old oak tree for a customer. The root ball was 30 some odd feet wide. A crane was required to keep the tree vertical. It was a year in the preparation and quite a process to ensure it survived. Henry saw to it that it did.
David Hicks.
Dan Kennelly. You can never beat city hall (or town hall). Invermere just showed a local pharmacist how municipal might trumps property laws.
Matt Litke. So. Are signatures on the way out? How do you get young people to sign their name when all they can do is print? Well, you can get them to print it.
Andy Lockhart. Reminds us that tax revenues always fall when tax rates are raised (especially on the rich). • His mom turns 104 later this week.
J.D. MacDonald. Wet weather is hard on family farmers: they still can’t get their crops off.
Michael McLennan. Remember when 2-sided photocopying was a big deal? Well, now it’s 3D and Michael is still having fun.
Ross Mikkelsen. W onders how eastern Canadians can consume Saudi oil without a thought (or comment) about the morals/ethics of those red and white, checkered head-dressed tyrants. • It’s enough to make you want to give our own so-called leaders a suggestion that they do what they never seem to do: think before enacting (minimum wage legislation).
Mike Mikkelson. So busy lining up speakers for Birds, he has little to say at Birds.
Brad Pachal. Kudos to some Birds but no tips this am.
Gerry Parcells.
Dwayne Vinck. Impressed by what comes out of Kenny’s camp when he’s in a ‘tactical’ mood.
Bob Wiggins . Quiet this am.
