Early Birds, June 24, 2021

Gentlemen,

First, please note there will be NO Birds Meeting on Canada July 1st. Our next meeting will be on July 8th. With any luck at all, we'll at least have an update on the possibility of physical meetings at Inglewood by then.

Two quick notes before getting to the video of the meeting below:

1) A great memory and photo from Sean Baylis' trip out to the West Coast for some deep sea fishing with his dad, brothers and his son Carson - who caught the first fish, a 23 lb salmon.

and 2) a book recommendation from Andy that will make you understand the old saying "It is to weep."

The book's title pretty much says it all: Wilful Blindness: How a criminal network of narcos, tycoons and CCP agents infiltrated the West (Holding the Chinese Communist Party to Account). You can pick it up at the library if you don't mind waiting. And waiting.

Or you can pick it up from the usual suspects, including local shops like Pages in Kensington. That's where this link will take you to:

And now, the meeting. Enjoy.

Happy Canada Day next week. No witless cancellation of history here.
