Early Birds, January 6, 2022

Gentlemen,

Due to COVID concerns, the cold, etc., the club opted to meet via Zoom for the first meeting of 2022.

HOWEVER, barring any external forces (like Inglewood not being able to staff the place, or government ordered shutdowns), Early Birds members present this morning voted to resume in-person meetings next week, Thursday, January 13th.

Also, this is an official welcome to Reid Colbran of Brokerlink, our newest official Early Birds member of 2022. Reid was invited by Mel Gibson to join up.

The meeting video is below. FYI, as a reminder - and a quick note for Reid, this video is posted on the Birds YouTube channel as "unlisted" which means no one can access the video unless they access it from this password protected page. We don't share these videos outside Early Birds.

There was much discussion on Birds members' and families' contact or close contact with COVID, and how to proceed amidst the ongoing fear-mongering and genuine health concerns surrounding the pandemic. Following that, there was some discussion on new member procedure before voting in Reid, and then a very short 'n sweet round table including among other things, "hot tub love" at -40 notes & tips from Tony, and a short market forecast for 2022 from Sean including the possibility of multiple interest rate hikes south of the border.

As of this morning George Roberts and Mel Gibson have opted for Birds Alumni status, so our search to bolster membership in the Birds continues. Please feel free to invite prospective members to our next meetings.
