Happy Birthday to Henry Heuver . He turned 80 this week!
Speaking of numbers: we have 28 Bird members. It’s time to find a couple of new ones.
Members:
Brett Bain.
Sean Baylis. Earnings reports are out so the market is sluggish. China’s economy is down – by about 10%. So. Don’t be surprised by a rate increase from Santa (as in December).
Jim Bladon.
Paul Boucher.
Greg Callander.
Ian Campbell. Did you hear? The hearing business is doing fine. • Watch out for Internet scams exploiting the PayPal name. • Oilers are looking good. McDavid is amazing.
Matt Dart.
Don Davis.
Todd Dean. Herding Birds is never easy but …
George Doherty. George is using a product that, like a glue, closes small wounds (i.e. the kind you get when dermatologists remove moles and cancer spots). Wounds heal in half the time. And scarring is reduced. For more info, call George. • His skin cream sales are sluggish so watch for some outdoor advertising around town.
Don Doolan. His house is finally ready. • And he got to play in a band at the Eureka Rodeo.
Ken Eades.
Tony Fisher. Quiet today.
Gord Forsyth . Grass maybe greener on the other side of the street but home insurance rates are best by remaining at ‘home with his long time insurer’.
Mel Gibson. The Power to Make a Difference is in your Hands. Aviva is supporting some good local causes. Check them out at https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/
Henry Heuver. Henry recommends we water in our trees. Especially the big ones. (Yes, even in spite of all the rain we’ve had.)
David Hicks. Is finding the Millennials to be an interesting challenge. They ain’t like anyone in any other generation.
Bill Hoogstratten.
Dan Kennelly. You know that neat electronic lock you have on your door at home? It needs a new battery every year or so. If you forget to change it, you’ll be spending hard earned money on a locksmith.
Keith Kozak. New mortgage rules have confused the market. It’ll take a while for sanity to prevail. Hopefully, a short while.
Matt Litke.
Andy Lockhart. He’s had a run in with the ‘new mortgage rules’ environment. Not happy. • Ah well, he has his snow management systems up and running.
J.D. MacDonald. He’s concerned about his kids who are soon off to distant lands. He knows they’ll be fine … but they’ll be so darn far away.
Michael McLennan.
Ross Mikkelsen. The Spin-top (aka The Calgary Tower) still offers a whole different perspective on Calgary. And the food is not all that bad, either. Nice for a change of view or for your visiting in-laws.
Mike Mikkelson. Black and Decker swallows Lennox and Irwin tools – which will see more job loses, across the board.
Gerry Parcells. No Drops; no license. Who knew? His optometrist retired a while ago. So Gerry’s been without his eye drop prescription. He’s back on the drops – which is good – as he was in jeopardy of losing his driver’s license.
Bruce Roblin.
Dwayne Vink.
Bob Wiggins. On a membership drive. For more Birds.
Chris Wright.
George Roberts. Words work when written well.
